Subject: Request to grant permission to use the space for “Indian – Ganesh Festival Celebrations” at Richens Close.
Respected Sir/Madam,
We the responsible residents and owners living in Richens close property request the management of Richens close to grant the permission to celebrate our Indian Festival – Ganesh Chathurthi with in the Richens close Campus.
As many of you are already aware, currently Richens Close property is been occupied by majority of the Indian origin families, this is one of the major festival celebrated at home and publicly across India.
Ganesh Chaturthi facilitated community participation and involvement in the forms of intellectual discourse, poetry recitals, plays, concerts, and folk dances. It was a meeting ground for people from all castes and communities, this festival will bring a feeling of unity and togetherness among people. So, we would like to encourage the brotherhood among the people living in Richens Close to support each other in every occasion.
The event start on September 05th ,2016, End on September 10th ,2016
Event Process & requirements:
After the recent restricted car park, we could see the plenty of empty car spaces with in the richens close campus, so in first place many of the residents discussed among ourselves and identified a car park area space to setup our event stall, which will not disturb any other residents to park their cars.
We install a Ganesh Idol and do the prayers for 5 days and on last day we immerse the idol in the nearby small pond/water area.
During the 5 days we offer prayers/Bhajans/serve Food(Prasadam) to those visit.
It will be restricted to the residents mostly, may invite near and dear friends on the closing day to give a farewell to the Ganesh idol before it immerse.
In the past, personally few of the residents already have experience in gaining the necessary permissions from council/police/etc and they are part of many local community organisation. So we will make sure it doesn’t affect other resident’s interests or disturb in any manner and organised by obeying all local laws.
We also make sure that we inform all the nearby residents well – in advance about this event to be aware and let us know if any objection or precautions to be taken.
Primarily most of the residents are already been contacted and they are very much interested and unconditionally supporting the event to bring harmony among the people living in the property.
Especially our children will get an opportunity to learn the culture and understand the importance of such traditional festivals.
We will assure that during the course of the event necessary security, safety and other measures are strictly followed and will maintain the cleanliness.
It`s a big honor if you can kindly give us a chance to use the space that owns by the management. We really appreciate if you can allow us to celebrate this event.
I hope the above plan and process is understandable, else please let me know I can personally come and detail about the event end to end.
Kindly grant the permission to celebrate this Festival event and give us an opportunity to share our togetherness.
Thank you,
Yours Sincerely
On Behalf of Residents of Richens Close

Tudor Place Management Company continues to ignore our clear desire for community, but this massive show of support proves they cannot silence us forever. We are taking this momentum straight to their offices to force them to stop blocking our cultural tradition.

Thank you everyone for supporting the initiation but unfortunately due to the lease agreements and other unavoidable issues, management could not abe to accept it. Thank you all for your time in supporting. Final Outcome from Management............ Dear Mr Kurmachalam, Thank you for your recent email with accompanying letter and list of signatures. The Directors of Tudor Place Management Company/Tudor Place Residents Association have considered your request. Whilst the Directors are sympathetic to the aims of community involvement, as set out in your letter, the Management Company/Residents Association must make it clear to you that it has legal obligations to the leaseholders and house owners at Tudor Place for the good and safe management of their properties and surrounding land. There are concerns that there would be loss of legal parking rights for owners, potential noise or disturbance problems and that the security of the development would be compromised by a possible large influx of visitors during the celebrations. Under the terms of the lease, the development is to be used for residential purposes only and the large scale festivities you propose would exceed this. We have also been in communication with our insurance broker and have been told that such a celebration would disqualify our buildings insurance, which as far as we are concerned, is quite simply out of the question. In view of the possible risks that could arise from this and the precedent that might be set in having to allow other large scale celebrations/parties, the Directors regret that they are unable to accommodate your request for permission to hold your proposed event at Tudor Place. Furthermore, the land on which you propose to hold these festivities, is owned by Tudor Place Freehold Company Ltd, which belongs to a majority of the front block leaseholders whose directors are listed below. To that effect, the Directors of Tudor Place Freehold Comp
Latest Update from Management , Dear Anil Thank you for your email. Ultimately, this will be a matter for the directors (copied in) of the leaseholders’ residents’ management companies (Tudor Place Residents’ Association Ltd,/Tudor Place Management Company Ltd) to decide upon. They do need to be mindful of the terms and conditions of the leases as well as the health and safety considerations in considering such a request. Regards
