Subject: Petition for the Establishment of a Sukkah for Jewish Residents During the 8-Day Festival

Dear Members of the Condominium Board,

I hope this message finds you well. As we approach the festive season of Sukkot, a time of great significance for the Jewish community, we kindly request your support and consideration in allowing us to set up a Sukkah within the condominium premises for the duration of the 8-day festival.

Sukkot is a joyous holiday that commemorates the Israelites' journey through the desert and their reliance on temporary shelters, known as Sukkahs. It is a time of gathering, reflection, and celebration, where Jewish families come together to share meals and festivities within the Sukkah.

We believe that having a Sukkah within our condominium would not only strengthen the sense of community but also promote diversity and inclusivity. It would provide an opportunity for all residents to learn about and engage with the rich cultural heritage of our Jewish neighbors.

We understand that the establishment of a Sukkah may require certain considerations, such as location, size, and safety measures. We are fully committed to working closely with the condominium board to ensure that the Sukkah is constructed and maintained in accordance with all regulations and standards.

We kindly request a meeting or discussion with the board to address any concerns, answer questions, and explore possibilities for the temporary installation of the Sukkah during this important festival. Your support in this matter would be greatly appreciated and would contribute to a more harmonious and inclusive living environment for all residents.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

One Island Residents

Updates

September 21, 2023

The conversations I have had with neighbors over the past week highlight how much a shared space could mean for our community. I am currently working to prepare a formal proposal for the board that addresses their specific logistical concerns. Your patience and quiet dedication to this goal keep the momentum going.

Seeing this groundswell of interest confirms that a communal space for Sukkot would be a welcome addition to our neighborhood. The steady growth of our common goal shows that many of you value the same inclusivity and connection that I do.
