Grant Sufficient Semester Break for BMSIT Students to Visit Home and Celebrate Holi
To, The Principal / Management, BMSIT College, Bengaluru.
Subject: Request regarding extension of semester break for 1st-year students.
Respected Sir/Madam,
We, the students of the 1st Semester, would like to bring to your kind attention that the semester break provided to us (ending on 22nd Feb) is extremely short, being only 1 week.
Most of the students in our batch are from North India and other distant states. Traveling back home takes 2-3 days by train/flight one way, leaving us with almost no time to rest or spend with our families before the rigorous 2nd semester begins.
Furthermore, Holi, which is one of the most significant festivals for us, falls in early March. If the college reopens on 22nd Feb, we will not be able to celebrate this major festival with our families.
Our Request: We humbly request the administration to extend the semester break so that outstation students can travel home, get adequate rest, and celebrate Holi with their loved ones. A relaxed mind will help us perform better in the upcoming semester.
We hope you understand our situation and take a student-friendly decision.

Holidays must me extended till Holi as it takes 2 to 3 days to reach our home town. As per previous schedule , semester will begin from 23rd Feb so we will get only 4 days .So please kindly extend our holidays till Holi . We hope that authorities will consider our petition.
Respected sir, I come from Kolkata.. this is the first time I am going to my home after the college has started.. it will be a great help if u grant a bit more leave..
Am form UP and need a longer break, keeping the travelling time in mind (30-35 hrs one way) 9 days isn't sufficient
Also, it becomes dream for NEPALESE students to visit their home after each semester break as it takes exactly 3 days to reach and 3 days to return. So, it becomes very tough.
We will be visiting home after 6 months during sem end. So I kindly request you to extend the sem end break so that we can spend some extra time with our family during festival of Holi

As foreign students ,many of us come from distant states or countries .Due to long travel times, high transportation costs, and limited availability of tickets, the currently allotted holidays are often insufficient for us to visit our families
