Petition to reverse the decision not to collaborate the boys and girls of Transition Year students of Sacred Heart School and Rice College. We request the boards of both schools to revisit and reinstate the collaboration for transition Year students across both schools for the 2024/2025 year. The decision to partake in the year for the students was based on the expectation of an educational cross Coordinating experience. The importance of social development and the exciting opportunities available to the students has historically been a part of the transition Year experience. The collaboration feeds more than their education but the community as a whole by the exciting unity such as the musical. We feel the decision is not in the best Interest of the students. Many opportunities and experiences have been taken from the students based on this decision such as cross learning through subjects not offered in their own schools. No correct correspondence was given in relation to not collaborating, this has not allowed the students to make an informed decision based on the coming year. We strongly feel this is not acceptable.
