We need forward thinking here. Our children have spent all of their lives mixed with the lads and will too after school into college and on to adult life. Collaboration between schools should be welcomed.

I highly recommend COLLABORATION and COOPERATION between both schools at every possible level. This is the way forward in our time. Nurturing such values will pay dividends as we move forward. Let’s expand our vision, in the interest of our students, future generations, and our global community.

I have nephews and nieces in both schools. It is vital that amalgamation is restored.

Very disappointed to hear this the collaboration was the best part of TY when I did the year

Having the boys and girls do activities together is what TY is all about, we are not living in 1924. Anyone pushing for this segregation and end to interschool activities should be ashamed of themselves. It’s a rotten, old- fashioned minority and they should be embarrassed.

I think it's very important that the transition year students mix with each other , it's a fantastic opportunity and helps them socially .

Why dont you both collaborate for the bette of the whole community and have 1 as a mixed junior school and the other as the senior. Then issues like this wouldn’t arise

I am still friends to this day with lads that we met during this year! .. denying this to ty today is atrocious. This is such a backwards action in this day and age . Sacred heart school and principal , you are letting yourself down!

This is a brilliant way for TY students to both of both schools to come together after the Junior years.

Using the kids because you're not happy about Rice College's co ed plans is very unfair, they miss out on a fantastic experience....very childish in my opinion
