Petition to increase school bus eligibility boundaries and revisal of eligibility requirements for students of the Ottawa Carleton District School Board

We the parents of students in the Ottawa Carleton District School Board, petition that the OCDSB and the Ottawa Student Transportation Authority increase the eligibility boundary lines to a more reasonable distance.

• The boundary line of 1.6 km excludes too many students.
• It is too far of a distance and unsafe for children as young as 6 to walk or bike to school.
• Many parents do not work within the operating hours of schools, making it very complicated to arrange morning and afternoon transportation.
