Ottawa Carleton District School Board School Bus Eligibility

My kids are too young to walk that far with no sidewalks most of the way. This is a huge inconvenience to wait until mid October for bussing.

Our children deserve to be safe. Those who make the bus routes really need to take a drive and see what they’re doing. So many wasted seats!

I can't say how the buses run or how they choose who goes on what bus. All I know is that my kids bus only has 9 children on it. And that is absolutely ridiculous. I would be more than willing for my children to get on the bus a little bit earlier if it means that the bus is fuller.

More paper copies are needed wherever you've placed them! They're getting filled quick! Just staple a few together, people are having an easier time with them then the online!

I always had so many problems getting a school bus for my kids and I had to leave work earlier to pick them up and get to work late. Right now I am waiting for them to approve my empty seat bus application, which I will get a result only in October. This means a month of stress and having my 9 years old one walk alone from school for 15 minutes. Thank you for doing this.

At least change the boundaries for children grades 1-3, 6-8 years old is not old enough to walk to school on their own. Consider homes with no siblings to ensure safety

The bus line forget rural areas have no sidewalks and that kids and parents are walking on the road in the winter and some kids have to cross a 80km road to get the bus !
