I have been a resident of this
area for the past 7 years and I think that it is a great place to live. However, I believe that the name Osborne Park
is inappropriate for the area in which we live and should be changed.
The majority of the land in Osborne Park is now industrial. It troubles me that when I tell people I live
in Osborne Park they think I live in an industrial area, which couldn't be
further from the truth. We live in a
peaceful, suburban area which is of a completely different character to the
industrial part of Osborne Park.
I think the current boundary is illogical and just doesn't make any sense. I
plan to lobby the local government in relation to this issue. If you agree, please sign the petition.

The local government is still ignoring our requests while this illogical name continues to hurt our neighborhood. I am currently preparing a formal case to force them to acknowledge that we are a suburban community and not just an industrial dumping ground.

The local government leaders are finally being forced to pay attention because of this surge in support. These bureaucrats can no longer hide behind their illogical boundaries while we demand a name that actually reflects our community.

I agree also and would like to thank you, but if this does go ahead we need to make sure that a name change will not effect current "R" codes as I am zoned R40.
I agree with Steven. The border of Stirling should be extended to include the residential section of Osborne Park. Thank you for lobbying this on our behalf.
