By We The People of Collier County, Florida
Whereas, The Collier County School Board has decided to try and force our children to wear masks and goggles to school in an attempt to keep them safe from Covid-19, without any regard for personal health freedom or our children’s first amendment rights.
Therefore, We The People of Collier County lawfully and formally petition the Collier County Public School Board to withdraw its draconian plan of masking our children and pushing the “new normal” narrative.
Therefore, We The People of Collier County lawfully and formally petition the Collier County Public School Board Members to amend Option 4 of their survey in regards to school funds going directly to homeschooling parents, and to add an Option 5 whereby allowing each individual school to make the choice of doing mandatory masks or optional masks.
Therefore, We The People of Collier County lawfully and formally petition the Collier County Public School Board Members to resend the newly written survey out to all parents, and to make the decision at the next school board meeting after hearing from the parents.

Seeing this grow has been completely overwhelming and I honestly never thought it would reach this many people. This momentum belongs entirely to the parents who decided to speak up. It shows just how much we all care about these choices.

My son will not be returning until the mandatory masks rule has been lifted. So it looks like my tax dollars will be going towards something I can't utilize. Would love the tax credit if schools can not open under normal dress code.
Masks wearing for elementary children can’t be enforced it’s ridiculous expecting they will abide by this rule.

Collier county School Board needs to rescind the mask and goggle mandate. We should not be creating more problems with the children entrusted to us to learn reading,writing and arithmetic vs. Indoctrination of draconian control elements to the detriment of each individual student. Let's get reasonable and consider the effects of these measures vs. The facts of how students are affected and how teachers are affected. If CCPS employees have comorbidities that will affect their ability to work and perform their duties required under their contract of employment with CCPS. I suggest they seek other employment opportunities in the public sector. I further recommend that CCPS recommend that EE's that have comorbidities rethink their personal health situation. You have had several months to exercise and get in shape for the day you return to work. Maybe you need to rethink your career, this happens all the time in the private sector when you find yourself unable to meet the requirements of the job you are employed at. Get over it, move on, and start moving to get in shape to perform a job that meets your skillset. The days of the government bailing you out are over. How's that union working out for you? Take individual responsibilty and do what's s best for you and the students of CCPS!

Children under 8 do not have fully developed alveoli. Masks would impair their oxygen/Co2 exchange and be unsafe.
