Hello Everyone,
This is a petition for the MSA office to have the option for students of mohawk college to opt out of their bus pass. Every Student in the college pays 126.15 a year for a bus pass in Hamilton. Not every student body uses this and we are still paying for it. I would like to bring this petition to the AGM October 7th. With a goal of 500 signatures. Please sign if you agree that there should be and option to OPT out of the Bus pass fee that it's included in our tuition..

I enrolled at the Brantford campus, forced to the Hamilton Campus now paying the $570 parking for me to commute there since I live in Brantford. Still forced to pay Hamilton bus wage. I think this is absolutely ridiculous.
I am pro student, and I agree that educational institutions should consider options that best suit a students financial standing and need. If a student is not going to use a bus pass why should they pay for it? Another cash grab on the institutions part. :(
I am in favour of this petition 100%!!! If I'm being forced to pay for the city bus, something I will never use, everyone taking the bus should be paying for my parking, it's only fair. It costs nearly $600 a year just to park a car on campus, thats not even the car itself, insurance, gas or maintenance thats ONE SPOT. How is it fair that I ALSO have to pay $125+ for OTHER PEOPLE to commute???
I 100% do not support this petition. A petition like this could jeopardize passes for all Mohawk students. 90% of Mohawk students use their pass.
This petition won't make a difference, HSR only offered this 'deal' to Mohawk if every student paid the cost of the bus pass. You can't 'opt-out' on a single student basis under the current terms of the arrangement with the HSR.
I am on BGH campus and would never use the bus pass.
buses shoul be paid for by government for students, keep money in our country for these reasons

I love outside of Hamilton in Cambridge and would NEVER find a use for this bus pass. Just extra money being taken away from students...
