Buffalo State University recently decided to no longer supply students with free bus passes due to their being, "low and declining use of the partially subsidized NFTA Metro Bus and Rail passes from students" However, many students I have talked to have claimed that they need bus passes for various reasons. If you feel Buffalo State University has made the wrong decision and that bus passes should be available for free again, SIGN THIS PETITION!!!

Isn't this covered in part by our college fees? maybe a "need" be demonstrated ti minimize abuse. To be on two bus lines with a large minority student base and already socio-economically disadvantaged we're gonna hit 'em again? There must be a better option.

I am a low-income commuter from Niagara Falls with no car. It already takes me an hour plus to get to and from campus everytime. I relied heavily on the free bus passes. It adds up, and I’ve had to make many sacrifices to afford the bus here.

I actually cried when I found out the free bus passes were not available to students after being told my whole time in orientation they are free . I’m low income single mother and that was a hard pill to swallow . I hope you guys bring it back

They’ve created a personal bill for students that is higher than the original fee. Furthermore, they were not true to their word about the caps for daily, weekly and monthly add ons. I had to pay $12 just to receive and activate the card.

My partner lives in the city and the bus is her only source of transportation and she has a very late class that goes until 9pm and them removing the bus pass makes so soo sooo inconvenient

The subsidized bus pass is essential for so many students and helps with education, civic engagement, and applied learning access into the community. The delay of financial aid disbursement will prevent some students the ability to purchase their monthly pass 2-3 month. Hope you would reconsider.
