This petition is submitted by a group of concerned citizens who oppose any construction on the land in the Forty Love/Indian Fork area. The region is already overcrowded, and the sewer system is insufficient to handle more residents. Additionally, the current road infrastructure cannot support an increase in traffic. We are also concerned about the environmental impact on the lake, the stress on already over crowded schools and the cemetary occupying the area of land in question.

Seeing 500 signatures on this petition makes me think of the quiet trails and the history buried in that cemetery that we are fighting to protect. It is heartening to know so many neighbors feel the same weight of responsibility for this land.

I spent the afternoon walking the perimeter of the cemetery and thinking about how much we have to lose if this construction goes through. The silence from the planning office is discouraging but I am busy preparing our formal testimony for the next meeting.

Seeing this community unite against the destruction of these grounds confirms that I am not alone in my fight to protect our history and our neighborhood. This momentum proves that people truly care about what happens to the cemetery and the land we call home. We are finally forcing the decision makers to look our way.

I spent so much time in these woods riding my bike and walking through the trails as a kid, and I want my kids to have the same chance. We need space to get outside and use our imagination, not more houses.

This area is too busy already and the infrastructure can’t handle 100 new homes. And I can just about guarantee LexRich5 School District CANNOT handle another influx of students. Our kids are hurting already due to massive growth! NO NO NO!!!

The road access is already at its max capacity for the safe evacuation of the area if the need should ever arise and the traffic noise levels are getting out of hand. More development in the area will only degrade the area more and make it a less desirable community to live in.

This area is home to so many amazing animals, eagles, hawks, osprey, herons, ducks of all sorts , geese, deer, raccoons, rabbits, song birds, turtles of many kinds. This is a natural and beautiful wetland and lake cove that will be destroyed by over populating this area.

The area is overwhelmed with people and traffic already. Schools are crowded and land is dwindling. I also happen to have relatives buried on the property. The growth in the area is an absolute nightmare and the added traffic on the already crowded roads is ridiculous.

No more new developments! I live on Indian Fork and I don’t even have water and sewer at my house. Just because developers want to make more money doesn’t mean it’s the right thing to force on current residents.

It is already to congested in Chapin. Leave the cemetery alone. Let those people rest in peace. They don't deserve being disturbed.
