• Environmental disruption, including loss of natural habitat and increased stormwater runoff
• Strain on local infrastructure and township resources
• Potential decrease in property values
• Detrimental changes to community character and open space
We request that the Schuylkill Township Board of Supervisors, Planning Commission, and relevant reviewing bodies deny approval of the Oakwood Lane Subdivision development or require substantial modification to fully address residents’ concerns.
Our signatures below represent our collective stance that this development, as proposed, is not in the best interest of current residents or the community’s long‑term well‑being.

I am are strongly opposed to the Oakwood subdivision. A contributing factor to our family moving to Chester County and the Township more than 20 years ago was the open space planning. Wildlife is one of the many gifts we have living on the mountain, let’s think longer term and the impact this would have.
I trust Schuylkill Township will not make any exceptions to the 2 acre minimum for single homes and would not allow mixed development should this plan move forward. My strong preference is for the Piazza property to stay as-is, followed by large lot single homes with a good amount of wooded common areas.
We live on a road that is considered a ‘private road’, meaning everyone uses it and we pay for its maintenance and upkeep. Having at least 60 more cars using the road will impact us considerably. We vote no for the increased traffic.
Even ignoring the traffic, water and runoff issues, this is well above the target density for R1. Assuming it's 30 acres, that would imply no more than 37 units (and probably less given space for streets, etc) given the zoning rules.
As a homeowner on Valley Forge Mountain, I am concerned about the impact this proposal would have on open space and wildlife. Additionally, traffic congestion on narrow, sloped roads that were not meant to handle it is a significant concern.
Country Club/Diamond Rock Rds are already congested and very dangerous and any additional traffic will make it even more so.
This can not happen. It will destroy the community. It will make traffic horrible especially for those living on Oakwood lane

Our infrastructure cannot handle more building, we are over Chester County's largest watershed and flooding is a real issue. There is no room for runoff. My property has gone from a 100 year flood plain to a 50 year flood plain due to overdevelopment in Schuylkill Township.
