Opposition to 4150 N. Ryan Road Creston Commercial Cannabis Cultivation Facility/Engrained LLC
We the undersigned Creston Residents do declare our STRONG OPPOSITION to the County Approval of the Proposed Commercial Industrial Cannabis Facility Engrained LLC DRC2020-00115 located at 4150 North Ryan Road in Creston.

im still reading through all the stories people are sharing about how this facility would change our neighborhood and it really hits home. working on getting some actual answers from the planning department so stay tuned because we arent backing down on this.

the momentum we have right now is honestly incredible and shows how much this community cares about the ryan road site. i really didnt think we would get this kind of turnout so quickly but it proves we are all on the same page about protecting our home.

We are ranchers out here, raising cattle, horses and many other farm animals, let’s keep it that way. There are not many ranchers or open land left , let’s preserve what we do have.
Outdoor grow = skunk odor drifting off site; 4' barbed wire is cattle fencing, not security fencing;; manufacturing (processing) a commercial business in a rural farm area; increased traffic on already rutted DG road; is water usage mitigated? what has been learned from Santa Barbara County?
Clearly not a fan of a project of this size and kind in my back yard, heavily utilizing an easement half on my property. The intended use of the easement clearly did not have a project of this size and type in mind when it was granted by us.
Our community is not prepared for any cannabas facility such as this one. Our area is quaint and clean air quality. We are surrounded with vineyards and tasting rooms and the smell and taint to the grapes will ruin grape sales and other business.
This is not okay. My 3 Children went to Creston Elementary school, and had there been a cannabis grow near the school, I probably would not have sent them there. I'm a long time Creston resident and I believe this is going to hurt our small community. I oppose it!
Commercial cannabis production at this location is completely contrary to the attributes that make Creston Creston! It is incompatible with surrounding property uses and has immitigable safety aspects that impact the entire community. Please deny this appeal.
Considering that SLO County is one of the 50 counties that was declared by the Governor to be in SEVERE drought yet once again, how can any new crops, INCLUDING cannabis be allowed? How in good conscious can anyone even consider this at all especially with so many wells, wells that provide residents water to live? There are MANY other reasons as to why cannabis should not be allowed in the County, but especially in the VERY hot, dry North County which include odor, noise, added traffic to dangerous rural roads, impacts on energy, area wildlife and the quality of our ground water. PLEASE DO NOT ALLOW THIS PROJECT OR ANY OTHER IN NORTH SLO COUNTY. It's not about being pro or against cannabis but rather where it is grown and our beautiful rural areas in our counties where families reside is not where cannabis should be grown. Other counties such as San Bernardino are doing things quite differently, allowing cannabis to be grown indoors in multi story commercial buildings in commercially zoned areas. Why doesn't SLO County look at different options rather than allowing theses cannabis grows to ruin our rural communities and when no one wants them near them? These projects are not compatible for rural SLO County neighborhoods.

I am the co owner of Al Pie del Cielo farm on Rocky Canyon Road. We dry farm some and do deficit irrigation on other our crops. We are SIP certified. We cannot condone abuse of our neighbors nor our environment. We protest the proposed cannabis operation on Ryan Rd.
