A developer is seeking approval for the annexation of the Stephenson Farm on W Webb Road for it to be developed into a high-density subdivision. The development is to include 180+ homes and does not take into account the impact to our community. The proposed subdivision would include 1/3 to 1 acre lots and could potentially double our city population.
We need to let our City leaders hear our concerns with the negative consequences for the residents, such as increased traffic congestion and traffic-related fatalities, school overcrowding, loss of agricultural capacity, higher water and air pollution, and a hidden debt of unfunded infrastructure and services.
By signing this petition, we are showing our support to our community residents and our intent to Rutherford County/City of Eagleville government officials in opposition of the proposed high density subdivision on W. Webb Road, Eagleville TN, Rutherford County. We are opposed to the tract of land known as Parcel # 141 00100 or Stephenson Farms being annexed into the City of Eagleville. We are opposed to any zoning changes to the referenced parcel. We are opposed to any subdivision of the parcel that is not complementary to and compatible with the existing parcels in the immediate vicinity of the project site. For a variety of reasons, we believe this opposition is in alignment with local government law and policy.

Infrastructure, traffic, over crowding schools, and such all need to be considered before taking a neighborhood of this size on! Bet it wasn’t considered… it’s a farm town, for crying out loud. It’s not Nashville!
We spent 20 years as homeowners in Arizona watching urban sprawl and watching the negative impact to our community. We moved here to get away from that, and absolutely love this special community. I'm signing because I hope we can prevent this and keep it both small and special.
Eagleville could and should lead by example and say NO to developers. Other small towns (Nolensville and college grove) didn’t do that and look at them now. Any environmental studies, traffic flow studies. Impact on the school, etc available? Just say no.
Eagleville wants to keep the small town & close community. Dont want another Murfreesboro where you cant get from one side of town to another. Small town life is where everybody knows their neighbors and help each other if needed. Dont ruin this small town by taking up all their land and building 180+ homes!!
BuIlding homes before the infrastructure is built is out of order. You don’t just build homes and then worry about the infrastructure. You build the city first then homes.

Eagleville is truly a special and unique place. Please protect it and it’s culture by preventing this urban sprawl. Bringing a large development like this will ultimately change the dynamic of this town and its people. Keep Eagleville special and different from other communities.
