On August 8th, 2018, a public hearing was held discussing Building 12 condemnation. At that meeting, the council approved the condemnation of OGL Building 12(the fire damaged building in back of property). Since this meeting the OGL Board has actively started researching cost efficient options of demolition and removing Building 12 from OGL property.
The OGL Board recently received news that one of the unit owners of Building 12 was out of town for the initial hearing. There will be a second hearing so that he could voice his opinion. We understand the hearing will occur in early September. We would like a strong presence there and we would like to submit signatures in favor of condemning the building so that it can be demolished and removed.
If you are in favor of Building 12 being condemned and demolished/removed from our property, please sign the petition.

I really did not expect this much traction but seeing everyone jump on board makes the whole situation feel so much more manageable. It is just wild to realize how many people are actually tired of looking at that fire damaged mess every single day.

The demolition of Building 12 in the best interest of our homeowners and the HOA alike. Since 2015, the building has been a blighted eyesore for our community, has caused our distress to our neighbors, and has largely prevented the HOA from implementing many of its substantive goals to improve Old Goodwood Landing. With the council's support, we look forward to turning the page on this difficult chapter for our community.
I live directly across the street from this eyesore. Looking at this every day is depressing.
I am in agreement with demolishing bldg. 12!

This has been going on far too long. The building is a safety hazard as well as decreasing our property values due to being an eyesore.
I am in favor of demolishing Building #12.

This building presents a hazard to residents and our community. In addition to the risk of a collapse, the building may serve as a host for wildlife.
