This petition is against the City of St. Albans taking land (owned by Keith Taruski of Americanadian LLC) by condemnation and eminent domain preceedings. There is a meeting Monday March 25th at City Council Chambers at 6:30pm for the City Council to vote on the taking of property to build an 8 million dollar parking garage and a 4 million dollar hotel with little or no remuneration to the property owner. If you are worried about the City taking your property in a similar fashion then please sign this petition or be there Monday March 25th to voice your opinion. Thanks!

This is total robbery. How can the city just decide to take private land for a hotel? If they can do this to him today they can do it to any of us tomorrow. Stop this nonsense.
