Hello fellow Hooper City constituents. This is a formal petition aimed at cleaning up a health hazard and nuisance in our town. This petition will be given to our local city counsel and our mayor, demanding that something be done with the property at 5941 S 4300 W named Rockin R Farm. You've likely seen this dump at the end of 6000 south. It's the house with cows living right on the front porch and pooping on it, a junk yard in the field and dilapidated barns out back. You've definitely said to yourself while driving by "man why doesn't the city do something about that pig pen? How could anyone live there? The health department should condemn that place!" Well... here is your chance to make a difference! Please stand with us, put your name on the petition and if possible go to a counsel meeting and let them know this rat infested, fly breeding, nasty place needs to be condemned! It hurts home values, stinks to high heaven, breeds rodents and insects right in our neighborhood and is a stain on everyone else's properties! It is an election year after all so maybe our officials will do something about it finally. If not, this is also a vow to VOTE THEM OUT!

Remember the petition only survives if you share it! The more signatures we have the more likely city counsel will do something!

Below are the next 2 counsel meetings if you're available.

Meeting at 5580 W. 4600 S.

-September 12th, 2019 Planning Commission 6:30 p.m.

-September 19th, 2019 Council Meeting 6:30 p.m.

*Future meetings will be added when scheduled.

Hope you can make it!

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many of you feel the same way about this property. It is your frustration and your shared commitment to our neighborhood that is pushing this conversation forward.

I want to agree with everyone here it saddens me to this property be destroyed like it is. This was my home, my mother died and this woman befriended my father a few years later she pushed him driving us kids away. Everything she got from his estate she has neglected allowed destroyed or lost to tax sale. I would like to clarify though Rocking R Farms was the property to the south and Rocking R died with my father please do not associate Miss Samuel's with the Halls family as she had no real marriage and no real ties with the Halls she used loopholes in the laws to take more than she deserved and obviously can not handle anything she acquired. I think this place has become a disgrace and eyesore to all that see it. And the animals well she is no rancher as believes she is.

I live directly behind this property. When there is wind, metal roofs (that are torn) hit on wood and keep my family up all night. Another concern is the treatment of the horses and cows.

This “farm” is an absolute disgusting joke. The horses are definitely under fed as you can see the ribs on every single one of them. Those poor animals live in absolute filth. Not to mention what an eyesore it is to the neighborhood!

Drive by this everyday and is disturbing how these animals have to live in filth and junk. Our house values and city is suffering due to this decrepit land.

This place is a nightmare. The animals are not cared for. I have driven past here at least twice a day for 5 years and am yet to see even a bale of hay.

We lived it 5936 S 4600 W. When we were trying to sell our house we had people tell us that they loved our house. Everything was perfect about it except for the farm behind us. We had to sell it for $30,000 below what it was worth during a prime seller's market because of our backyard neighbor.

I helped her frequentley out at the farm, did what i could, she clearly can not handle the respisabilituly, and is relying on all the wrong people for help ! The outside looks better than the inside.. Get it some help, foster out some of the animals !!!! 2361 and 2350 jefferson arent much better !!!
