We, the undersigned, object to the second proposal for the Woolton Road (& beyond) cycle lane being restricted to one side of Woolton Road for the times specified for the following reasons.
1. It’s impractical. Too many cars, nowhere else to park within a reasonable distance
2. Safety. We are already often at a flashpoint situation with the places we can park, and making parking further restricted is not a safe option for our young children.
3. Community. Why damage relationships between local residents and the school community by adding more stressors? Surely we should be working together more. Both local residents and school don’t want the situation to worsen which is exactly what would happen if this proposal were to go ahead.
I really thought this might just float around the neighborhood unnoticed but the feedback pouring in lately is just wild and honestly kind of overwhelming in the best way. Seeing all these people connect over the sheer impracticality of the whole thing is proof that we all felt the same frustration from the start even if we never talked about it until now.

one hour twice daily is not sufficient for allowing safe accessibility to childwall c of e school for the children who attend breakfast club and after school club or after school activities. I think a pedestrian lane and cycle lane on the pavement would be a much better solution

A dangerous and ill-thought-out proposal which will cause chaos for parents and staff, and danger for our children. We do not have a catchment area for our school, welcoming families from Knowsley, Sefton, Halton and Wirral who need safe, local parking that does not adversely affect our neighbours.

Hi, I’d like it to be known that I oppose the proposals as I believe it will be difficult to park elsewhere and get my child safely to school. The side roads are always so busy cars struggle to pull onto Woolton Road safely, it’s especially difficult around Hornby Lane where you will force a lot of traffic.

For an hour a day it’s important that parents can safely get their children into and out of school , there are no alternatives and there are a number or disabled children and parents with blue badges . The needs of the many for an hour , need to be understood.

With 5 children, 3 in Childwall CE and 2 preschoolers. These proposals to the cycle lane on Woolton Road make it very difficult to drop my children off and pick them up safely. I object to these proposals and would encourage the council to rethink these plans please

A bike lane on Woolton road will create chaos for parking in neighbouring roads at school drop off and pick up and make it more dangerous on surrounding roads for a children getting to school safely. During the day staff use Woolton road to park as car park is not big enough for all staff to avoid upsetting surrounding neighbours.

As a resident, the situation is already difficult. I’m concerned as to safety and managing to get out of my street on pick up and drop off times
