The proposal to convert two parking bays on Lavengro Road into Beryl bike bays will cause a further shortage of available parking for residents. We are therefor petitioning to stop the proposed plan to repurposed the Car Parking Bays on Lavengro Road into Beryl Bike Bays .
It’s clear to see that parking is already tricky around here as people have turned their gardens into driveways, all the parking bays are full and people therefore have to park along the pavements and even on the grassed areas. I don’t see what benefit a beryl bay would be tucked away on a residential street instead of at the large communal space at Mousehold Heath near Zak’s.

The loss of 2 parking spaces would exacerbate the parking problems we already experience because of the volume of vehicles now being parked in the road. This is especially difficult for elderly and disabled residents.

All this will do is reduce the already inadequate parking provision. Beryl bikes will not stop residents parking in Lavengro Road and could even persuade non residents to park there and use a bike. Is this really what Norwich City Council wants?

I also didn’t receive a letter informing me of the Beryl bay, I wouldn’t have been aware or had an opportunity to share my concerns without my neighbour informing me of the matter.

Impractical situation on Lavengro Road. There is already Beryl bikes at the bottom of Gertrude Road, a short distance away. Not sufficient information regarding situations that could arise.

There are enough parking issues in this road already. Putting the bike bays nearer to the heath would make more sense and won't significantly impact on the local residents
