Landmark 24 has filed a request with the MPC to rezone the last 341 acres of our neighborhood (The Highlands) from Residential to Light Industrial with the intent to build warehouses on that property.

These 341 acres are Master Planned to have 3 more communities, a road continuation of Highlands Blvd to Jimmy DeLoach Pkwy, and a second space for another Clubhouse. We are scheduled to receive this road regardless in the next couple of years as our neighborhood has grown to the point of needing it. Landmark 24 is trying to scare us into giving up prime real estate in order to 'pay for a road' that is owed to us anyways. Do not allow our neighborhood to be bullied into this bad deal!

Communities located inside The Highlands Master Plan: Cumberland Point, Godley Park, Highlands Crossing, Highlands Falls, Rivermoor, Savannah Highlands, Spring Lakes, Waverly, Waverly Station Apartments, Willow Point, and the future North Haven Apartments.

WE HAVE A VOICE! EVERYONE WHO HAS MOVED INTO THE HIGHLANDS HAS FINANCIALLY INVESTED INTO OUR NEIGHBORHOOD AND WE HAVE TO PROTECT OUR INVESTMENT.

UPDATE: Van Johnson, and members of the MPC, will hold a neighborhood meeting on this topic Wednesday, July 13th at 6pm in the Godley Station School. We must show up in numbers to speak out against this proposal!

I also encourage everyone to attend the MPC hearing on Tuesday July 19th at 1:30 pm in the Arthur A. Mendoza Hearing Room at 112 E. State Street in downtown Savannah.

We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens who urge our leaders to act now to keep the site zoned as it is (PUD-C Residential). We feel it would be detrimental to our property values, our day-to-day life, and our community to live so close to an industrial area.

(Everyone may sign in your household, not just 1-per-house, so please have your spouses, roommates, etc to sign as well and help SHARE this link so everyone in the neighborhood can find out more about this proposal!)
