I spent the morning walking the tracks near Channing Road and the safety risks are even more apparent when you see the trains passing by. We are currently working on a formal proposal for a safer alternative that keeps our families away from the rails. Your notes about the dangers of this path keep me focused on the goal.

Seeing this many people agree that our families should not have to worry about a trail directly on a live rail line is overwhelming. This momentum proves that our neighbors care deeply about keeping our children safe.

looking for trouble, the only time a bike trail and a railway mix is when an old railway becomes a bike trail. a trail next to a live rail is accident just waiting to happen withor wthout fences.
There is no reason why this trail can't take a route in front of the high school, and if they want to go over the tracks, go in behind the Mobil Station and over.

Winnbrook - Trail seems like a folly for special interest group with no sense of funding priorities.
It's a no-brainer.....a trail next to a live rail is DANGEROUS!!I I live in Waltham and teach in Belmont.

please don't invade our backyard. at least for the sake of peace and quiet for my children.
