It was reported via a recent parent mail that from September 2015
the Comberton school uniform will include CVC branded trousers and skirts and these will be compulsory. The only way of purchasing these is via the schools recommended supplier at a cost of between £10.99 – 19.80. It is also stated that this was agreed upon following "many conversations with pupils and their parents" . There has been no consultation period or survey sent home.

The government website states parents should be provided with alternative retailers offering cheaper prices. Children come in all shapes and sizes. Therefore need to be able to shop around and find a style and fit that suits the children, as well as a suitable price to fit all budgets. We do not agree to having to buy from one source at high prices when perfectly good alternatives can be purchased at a cheaper price.

We appreciate that the school requires all students to be dressed appropriately and strongly urge you to reconsider implementing the purchase of trousers and skirts from one supplier.
