Based on only an initial survey Greenhill have decided that students should wear a suit (including a jacket at all times), the only option they are prepared to give is light grey or black.

We were promised options , why are the school not listening to us. Many students didn't even get a say in the first survey. We are being steam rollered in to what the school wanted before the consultation started.

To be clear the consultation period is still ongoing and therefor now is the time to have our say.

Students deserve to have a say in what they have to wear and request options:

- No change to current uniform policy.

- Current uniform with a shirt, tie and v neck jumper

- Suit and tie as proposed by Greenhill ( all to be sourced from nominated supplier).

We want to be a modern progressive school, this puts us back 50 years in the past.

There are so many other things the school should be focusing time, money & energy on.

A thought - the education systems ( i.e. Scandinavia, Netherlands) which perform best in the world don't even have a uniform!

The administration is still ignoring the feedback. I am drafting a formal letter to the board to demand a real vote.

Blazers/suits are dated, uncomfortable, extremely expensive and impractical to clean. There is nothing wrong with the current uniform if it is adhered to correctly. The focus should be the correct discipline to enforce this.

I think that there should be no change what so ever because the teachers got a vote even though they aren't the ones that have to wear it we do and if we have a set uniform so should they

I feel that this has been a totally unfair consultation and find it hard to believe that so many students and parents would have voted for this option of uniform. Students need to feel comfortable in order to learn and the proposed uniform is certainly not that, not to mention the cost it is going to have on every family.

Don't the school have better thing to spend their time & focus on? Really, no money for staff, books, printer toners, educational materials - yet time & money is spent changing uniform. This will cost on average £150 extra per pupil - that's a lot of money. Priorities people.

I think that it would be a good idea just to keep the uniform we have because there might be people that can not afford a blazer tie etc . It would not be very comfy and playing foot ball at break and lunch would be a nightmare because you would get so hot and it would be hard to move around .

The uniform right now is fine, but a shirt, tie and V neck jumper would be smarter. However a blazer would be expensive and probably uncomfortable in the summer, especially as you couldn't take it off.
