We oppose this proposed special permit application for applicant John Psilopoulos and owner, Thomas Miozzi of Green Light Farm, LLC Town Farm Rd. Coventry, RI for an outdoor rifle range.

• Too close to family residential neighborhoods – Home values will plummet, who will want to buy your home when they hear gunshots

• Constant gunshot noise in a peaceful family neighborhood – Imagine trying to relax in your garden during the summer!

• This would be the Third Largest Gun Range in New England – Initially operating 9:30am to dusk, but lighting would allow operation in to the night.
• Transit of high power assault type weapons though our streets – How will our local police force cope with a routine traffic stop?. Will they be out-gunned?. These are military grade weapons and ammunition.
• 1.25 miles to Washington Oak Elementary School – Children at play will hear gunshots. High velocity rounds are still deadly at over a mile.
• Lead contamination in groundwater – All houses in this area are on individual wells.
• Severe impact on wildlife and pets.
• No public notifications received to-date – This gun range will impact a very wide residential area. Not just the abutting properties.
