Why is this needed in our neighborhoods?

absolutely horrible. the last thing people need is for children at a young age to constantly be hearing gun shots. there are psychological studies that simply being exposed to and primed by aggressive cues aka sounds, object can increase aggression. Literally, in Turner et al's study, they made the Independent Variable violence portrayed on pick-up truck. ⅓ of the trucks had a bumper sticker of gun and a statement about vengeance. ⅓ had a bumper sticker of a gun and a statement about friends. ⅓ were the control group with no cues! The Dependent Variable was the behavior of drivers when Turner et al. had the truck stalled at a light. The research assistant timed and recorded the behavior of the person who was behind the research assistant's truck. Do they blow a horn? How long? When looking in the mirror, how did the person look? The findings were as follows: the more cues in the situation that primed aggressive behavior, the more aggressive the person behind the pickup driver was. This is called the Frustration-Aggression theory: things in the environment can trigger people to behave in an aggressive manner.

Not so close to the school.

This area is residential and should not be allowed. High power assault weapons should not be owned by citizens!!

We're facing the exact same thing over in Foster.

The gun nuts can go to Midstate gun range. The proposed gun range is way too close to the Elementary School and Resiential neighborhoods.

This is selfish and irresponsible. This is a residential area, not an appropriate location for such a venture. Residents should have a say here, this is their home, their place of rest and safe haven. Of Peace, away from all the garbage going on in the workd. The last thing they want to hear or worry about is gunfire. Just say NO. Enough already

Because what dumb thought it wise to site a high powered gun range anywhere close to a residential neighborhood and a school? We know gun enthusiasts place no value on human life, but even this is ridiculous!

I can understand your obsession with shooting big guns; however, I can NOT understand why in the world you would put nearby elementary school children in potential danger!! Pick another location.

Using lead bullets, and trying to shoot near a school in a residential area? These guns aren't even for hunting so what is their purpose exactly?

Having a high powered rifle range so close to a school is a tragedy just waiting to happen.

I'm not opposed to gun ranges, but not within range of schools or residential property.

The proposed range is dangerous and will be unreasonably noisy for all the neighbors in the area. It will make money for the proponents and damn the rest of us to their whims.

We live in the woods, not a warzone!! My son is at that school and we live near the range, this is atrocious and beyond imposing to all humans and wildlife living in the area!!

No! No! No! Not in a residential area or school zone!! And I oppose the use of any high powered, semi automatic, or high magazine rifles....let's start saving lives, rather than taking them.
