I am a resident of new market, VA my family owns land that is bordering the land for sale where Contractors want to build what they call the Shenandoah Valley Training Center, private-use facility that would extend for miles on Massanutten mountain. on this facility they plan to turn the mountains and fields into rifle ranges, shoot-out houses, and high speed driving tracks. i grew up in this house and plan on having it in my family for a long time it is a beautiful; quiet, rural area right now. if they are allowed to go through with this the housing value in going to plummet where i live, live ammo shoots will be heard night and day, along with the added traffic on the small back road and the "driving track", they also plan on putting this facility where countless geese, great blue herons and much more wildlife live and nest at every year. if you live in new market this will effect you one way or another. you most likely know people who will border this facility think about what this means for them and for the town of new market is this what you want your future kids and family to grow up around do you want people to know new market for its history and beautiful scenic land.....or a military town. right now my house overlooks smith creek, Franwood Farms, and the mountain. please help this cause so my future children get to see that same breath taking view and not this military facility.
