BMG will be moving from its current Newington store location to Berlin. BMG has applied for a permit to open an indoor shooting range in addition to there retail gun shop that they have already been approved for. It is a fact that accidental discharge happens 600 or 700 times a year. It is a fact that our property values will decrease and it is a fact that our community will be put at risk at some point. I ask you to take a moment to consider what if it were your home and your children that lived just 45ft from this potential indoor range. The next planning and Zoning meeting will reconvene on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at 7p.m. 240 Kensington Road, Berlin Ct. I need your help and all of the community to come together. Let's start by just a simple signature to protect our neighborhood.
The feedback from neighbors has been steady and deeply thoughtful regarding the proximity of this facility to our homes. I am currently organizing the concerns we have gathered to ensure they are presented clearly at the upcoming planning session.

The momentum behind this effort reminds me that our neighbors care deeply about the safety and character of this community. This support shows that our concerns regarding the proximity of the proposed facility are shared by many who call this place home.

45 feet is way too close. keep this stuff away from residential areas where kids are playing outside.
