Prepare to Act LLC has applied for a special permit with the town to construct and operate a firearms club at 82 Wolcott Road in Plymouth, CT. The proposed OUTDOOR gun range would have 47 SHOOTING BAYS, one of the largest in the state! If passed by the zoning board, the shooting range will be open 7 days a week year round. Should they wish to add other uses to the site in the future, Prepare to Act LLC may be allowed to do so by amending the special permit.
If you are a Plymouth or Terryville resident, please add your name to the petition and let the zoning board know that you DO NOT want a shooting range at 82 Wolcott Road!

On Heather Lane we already have a Sportsmans Club on one side of us. On the other side of Heather Lane we have Plainville Fish & Game and Ground Zero Paint Ball Range. Now this new Gun Range would be in Front of Heather Lane. We already endure 7 days per week of traffic and Gun noise from the present Ranges. NO MORE NOISE
We don't need this gun range! I grew up with one right in my back yard. A little girl shouldn't be used to the sound of gun fire especially once the sun rises.
I am against this proposal as it will decrease my property value by adding loud, and unecessary noise to what has been a quite and peacefull environment for the past twenty seven years. This noise will intrude on my privacy and peace of mind.
My home will be on just the other side of the street and in the middle of 2 gun ranges nearly side by side. Is it reasonable for so many families to live within close proximity of high power rifle-fire when we get home from work or on our week-ends? Multiple ranges are never located next to one another for the obvious reasons.
Does not belong in a quiet residential area. If you would not want it in your back yard, please don't vote to have it in mine. Think about 47 guns bays in your neighborhood!

I feel uncomfortable hearing gun shots from my property. Today at 10:25 l hear rapid fire of a weapon from the area. It was 7 shots in less than a second. I know rapid fire because I was in the Army. This sent chills down my spine. I have PTSD.
