This project is too dense for this site. Reduce the numbers and the impact to the community.
With the wildfire situation, it is crazy to put this many homes in this location. Quick evacuation will be impossible. Diamond Springs just had to evacuate most of Patterson this past week, with just a fraction of the number of homes. To be honest, these new homes may not even be able to get homeowners insurance, due to the fire situation! Large development's like this need to be built near Hwy 50, which can handle hundreds of cars during a wildfire evacuation.
380 lots? Multiply that by potentially 4 people/house...math isn’t my strongest subject, but even I can do this one! We haven’t learned yet??! Leave this wonderful small community SMALL and preserve the history of the area. 1848 and the gold rush that followed should be proof enough that once this happens there’s no going back...the next proposition will be for a shopping mall, parking lot, more signals & all things city. And then, sadly, beautiful Diamond Springs will be no different than any other big city in America.
My parents will not be able to keep their home if this development is approved. They have lived there for over 30 years.
Please don’t let this past, if it does my husband and I will be on the street. We have lived in our house 31 years...it’s the old Davenport-Fitzgerald house 95 years old.. The roundabout will go right thru our home... Eminent domain will not give us enough to find another place ... we are old.. PLEASE VOTE AGAINST!!!!

Enough "development" (ruination) already! Use what we have! And where's the water going to come from?
