Hello everyone! It has come to my attention via the mouth of a City Alderman that the City of Branson West was donated a large piece of property next to the airport to be used for a NEW playground/park! However they do not feel that there is enough of a demand/want to take action and get this project done! Lets show them that there is. If you have ever been to our current community playground, in the parking lot of Walmart, you know that it is less then desirable...
- No shade
- The equipment gets scorching hot
- Nowhere to host a small birthday party etc
- No small equipment for toddlers
- No handicap accessible equipment
I would love to see a new playground put up that has multi age equipment, handicap accessible equipment as well as a SHADED picnic area with grass and trees and even pavilions that the community can use for family gatherings and birthday parties! Lets get our community a great outdoor public space for our families! Please sign the petition to show the city this is something we want! Thanks!

The city officials tried to ignore us but this surge in support proves the public is fed up with that pathetic excuse for a park in the Walmart parking lot. Branson West bureaucrats can no longer pretend the demand for a real, safe, and shaded playground doesn't exist.

I have lived here 7 yrs now and I have always been AMAZED at the lack of a nice public park when we live in such a beautiful part of the country. I would take my granddaughter there often. The one at Walmart stinks!
This would be a perfect addition to Branson West. The playground area is made for older kids. Kids under the age of 4 it's really too big for them to play on. Plus the area is so hot! There's no shade and it's surrounded by a parking lot and tons of cars. I would like to see a nicer place for kids to play.
Karen Allen, United States, Doniphan: My grandchildren live in Branson West and they need a better park. One with handicapped access and shade would be amazing. Walking trails and an exercise path like Springfield, MO has to encourage fitness. Branson West deserves a better park!
I think this is a great idea. I would love to be able to take my grand children to play near my home rather than over in Branson. The one by Walmart is in need of repair and there are no pavilions for family gatherings.
I would love to see a park that is handicap accessible in Branson West. Many of our children must travel 30 to 45 minutes to find a city with a park they can access. Please support our local youth and build a park that everyone can enjoy!
Reeds Spring Cajun Days Organization is raising money for a playground to be built on city property behind city hall. We are currently in the planning and fundraising stages. We will be able to post the final plan for the playground in about a month along with donations link. We hope to have ground breaking on Cajun Days 2016 (May 21). This will be a great addition to the community. Updates will be announced on the Reeds Spring Cajun Days Facebook Page.
My kids love the park. We need more areas like this for kids to go out and play.

Something we have needed for a long time. More so than a new sidewalk in front of Christian Assoc. that goes nowhere.
