The playground in Alturas is at least 18 years old. It’s seen better days; it’s been vandalized, picked at, and sun damaged. The swings are missing entirely.
There are so many children in our little community who would benefit from new facilities.
I know there would be local support for fundraising and donations - let’s see if we can get the county behind us too.

I remember go to the park as a kid and having so much fun. But now I can't even take my own daughter to the park without worrying about her getting stabbed by a needle and not being able to have a safe swingset
Don’t forget about our special needs kiddos who would probably love playing on equipment that is accessible for all!
Add a baby swing or two this time!
Tell this to the meeting: The whole county needs an update to the park!

We moved here from Portland, Or where there is an abundance of play grounds. A nice play ground is an essential part of childhood and a wonderful way for the kids if the community to have space to interact with each other.
