After being terminated after 13 years of employment with AMR. My local union stewards fought for my job back secondary to unfair termination. My local union reps did a great job but was unable to get termination reversed during grievance. My case was sent up to national level of my union,NEMSA. At this point after numerous non returned phone calls I finally got a hold of my labor rep who advised me they were not taking my case to arbitration and didn't give an explanation. For those of you familiar with my case and how unfair the termination was you should realize how unjust this decision was. For those of you not familiar I ask for your support that as a union dues paying member it is your unions responsibility to exhaust all options if there is any question of termination befor dropping the case. The reason this petition is important is the same could happen to you. We should have strong unions that protect the workers rights and be there to represent you and fight for your rights until there are no other options available.
