Medical Marijuana Store
Coming to Mundelein
On July 14th, Mundelein Village trustees
voted to make it easy for medical
marijuana businesses to open in town.
Unlike every other Lake
County city, all trustees, except one, rejected the recommendation of the Zoning and Planning Board, and voted that any new marijuana business does
not require a public hearing.
An attorney representing a Roselle company, who would like to open a store, praised the Village’s decision NOT to hold public hearings. Matter of fact, one trustee said a medical marijuana store is no different than a CVS or Walgreens coming to town.
It is our belief that a medical marijuana business is very different than a CVS or Walgreens. This issue is relevant to residents in our community. The Village has an obligation to actively promote, host and be receptive to public comment.
Please sign this petition to demand a public hearing. So we all can learn more about where, when, and how the Village plans to support medical marijuana sales in
town.

El 14 de julio, síndicos Mundelein Village votaron para hacer más fácil para las empresas de marihuana medicinal para abrir en la ciudad. A diferencia de cualquier otra ciudad del Condado de Lake, todos síndicos (excepto uno), rechazó la recomendación de la Junta de Zonificación y Planificación, y votaron que cualquier nuevo negocio de la marihuana no requiere una audiencia pública.

Are you kidding me? comparing a weed shop to a cvs is insulting to everyone who lives here. we need a public hearing now.
