Move Georgia Brown to the 17th St. Campus Petition
We, the undersigned, disapprove of the PRJUSD Board of Trustees’ decision to move Georgia Brown Elementary School to the temporary Flamson campus. We are in favor of the Board rescinding its decision, with a plan to move Georgia Brown to the 17th St. campus upon completion. We urge all of our elected officials to revisit this issue and the series of negative safety and financial implications that follow.

The uphill climb has been long and exhausting for us all. We need to reach two hundred fifty signatures quickly so the board cannot ignore our presence when we show up to demand the move to the 17th Street campus.

Logistically and financially, moving GB directly to the 17th campus is the best choice. Why waste money on unnecessary moves and alterations to the temporary campus - use that money towards creating the community school for Speck's students. It will not be safe to have the GB population at the temporary campus.
A mi no me gustaría que mi hija fuera en el lugar de la 24 st. Porque mi hija iba hay unos meses atrás y el trafico se ponen muy pesado y aparte siempre llegamos tarde porque somos muchos padres y con la Georgia Brown somos más padres de familia
How will the Georgia Brown school fit on the smaller temporary campus that housed the much smaller Glenn Speck school? Aren't there hundreds more Georgia Brown students? Will they be forced to reduce enrollment to the most highly sought after elementary program? So many questions about this.
I am concerned that the most successful program in your district will fall apart and children will leave the district, if they are crammed into portables designed for 300 with no where to eat or to exercise
GB students and staff, have no business being squished into the temporary facility next to Flamson. GB has almost twice the student population. Spring st traffic nightmare! Then to have to move again in a few years, does not make sense. Let's just do it once and do it right.

My granddaughter is just one of the hundreds of children this will affect. Also, as a retired teacher, I think requiring the teachers who have the most materials, due to the need for support materials in both languages, to move twice is a great burden. Please reconsider this decision.
