Dear Sir/ Madam,
We wish, bring to your attention the kind of burden our kids are carrying to their school on their back. Without a water bottle, only text book+ note book weight is running upto 5.2kgs. After adding Water bottle + Art work stationary sometimes weight is going upto 7kg.
5th standard students are required to carry their bags via stair case upto 3rd Floor all the way upto their classroom.
To share further details:
1) There are two separate text books for Hindi language & Grammer
2) There are two separate text books for Engligh language & Grammer
3) For French language there are two text books
4) Everyday our kids are carrying min 6 note books for different subjects. After the trimester is over usually there are 20-25 pages which are left blank on each page.
Keeping above in mind, we request you to have a conversation amongst Teachers and help our kids reduce the burden on their back.

I have been hearing from so many of you about the visible strain on your children after they climb those stairs with their heavy bags. I am currently organizing these specific accounts to present directly to the administration so they can no longer ignore the physical toll this schedule takes on our fifth graders.

Seeing so many of you jump on board hits home because I watch my own child struggle with these heavy bags every single morning. This momentum proves that I am not the only one worried about the toll this takes on their growing bodies.

please reduce kids weight as they have to carry till 3rd Floor or help them use lift for kids on 2nd and 3rd floor atleast..
It would help if the time table specifys the exact subject that would be covered on that day..for example, if the teacher is taking English grammar on that particular day, the child can carry only grammer book on that day instead of carrying multiple books related to english..Thanks.. appreciate if you would look into it

I totally agree with this. My son is in second std, he also has to carry a heavy load every day., in his previous school at least the notebooks thy use to keep at school and during exam time and and for homework (fridays) they use to take it.
