I just received the news that the motel is officially closing. I never thought we would see this happen so quickly and I am simply overwhelmed by what you have all accomplished together.

Its time to unite as a community and keep it safe by requesting tthe permanent closure of the Midland Beach Motel located at 630 Midland Avenue. As we know the incidents that have occurred there stem from prostitution, drugs, criminal activity to deaths by drug overdoses. We also are aware that the motel acts as a shelter and a halfway house for newly released criminals in our community. Its time to fight back for our community and petition the closure of this motel. Please contact your local borough president James Oddo.

I never imagined this many people would want to see a change at the motel. Seeing 250 signatures here is completely overwhelming and this is entirely because you took the time to care about our neighborhood.

I am honestly a bit overwhelmed that one hundred people feel the same way about our neighborhood. This has gained much more traction than I ever thought possible and it really belongs to all of you.

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many of you have stepped up to support this neighborhood effort. If we can reach the two hundred and fifty mark this week it will show the borough president that we are serious about keeping our streets safe.

Like many I have endured the eyesore and it daily functions and the problems that establishment brings with it. Time to bring midland beach back to the beach haven it used to be. Be gone with this hotel!
As a mother I don't want to have my son grow up in a neighborhood with flith that is within plain sight. If this place is only home to criminal activity it should have been demolished years ago.
I work at the senior residence next door ,and while walking thru the parking lot leaving work I and coworkers have to avoid hypodermic needles that get tossed out the window .This is on a daily basis
I lived on Patterson my hole life and the people that come out of this hotel are no good , there was a few times that people would try and rob cars from my block and we would chase them into the hotel.. They need to shut this hotel down as soon as possible.
This place has done nothing but cause problems in our neighborhood. The owner robs the homeless but charging them so much for the one night stay that he doesn't care about anything expect putting money in his pocket. It's a disgrace that this has gone on for so long.
please let us have Friday and weekends ! And sleep at night.

Island shores is right there and the seniors pay good money to live there. This eye sore to them and the community has to go. NO good happens there this is nothing new. Its time to go it should have floated away with hurricane sandy.
