we actually pulled it off and the college is officially installing the new blue lights across campus. im honestly so stoked that we forced this change because it makes the walk home feel a lot safer for everyone. keep an eye out for them going up soon.
As a member of the Middlebury College community I request an increase in the number of blue lights on campus in order to strengthen the comfort level and safety of my fellow students, faculty and staff members.
been reading through everyone's stories about walking across campus at night and it really confirms that we need better lighting. im putting together a list of the spots where people feel the most nervous so i can take it to the administration soon.

im honestly blown away by how much this has picked up speed lately. its so clear that a lot of us feel the same way about needing more safety lights around campus and seeing this kind of energy behind the idea is incredible.

I avoid the back of campus entirely because of how dark it gets. Students should be able to walk anywhere without worrying.
