I also sent a letter and never received a comment or answer back from the Board. Desert Management confirmed receiving it, and said it was to be included in the last Board Meeting. While water conservation is an issue, overseeding is the main issue here, and why have we stopped doing it? Also, I have never seen so many weeds in our lawns, as we have now. The desert scape looks great, but why have it and let the unmanaged lawns ruin our property values and most of all, our pride of ownership!
Most or my concerns have been addressed by other homeowners, however, of major concern to me is the condition of the upper part of Cochran, often referred to as the dog park. Over time it has become dangerous for people and dogs. The continual use of heavy equipment has left ruts and pot holes and Trac 4700 is going to get sued if someone falls there. It's only a matter of time. Desert Management should authorize filling of these dangerous ruts and holes
I am the moderator of the on-line petition, and I have not deleted or modified anyone's comments in any way. The purpose of this petition (and the paper versions circulating throughout the complex) is to gauge owner opinion on this issue. I don't agree with all of the comments, but I strongly believe everyone is entitled to have their say whether I agree or not?
It appears that some posts are being censored and deleted if the host does not like, even if it is the truth. Kind of defeats the whole purpose of a petition.
Just read a comment from the board. Sorry not buying it. Go next door to the lakes and see how beautiful and green their lawns are. We are the only ones that look so awful . something is seriously wrong here.
I have several issues with the new landscapers but this is at the top of the list. I've owned my home her for going on 23 years and never have the grounds been such an embarrassment . For what we pay in dues this is simply terrible!
The drought is over. Let's make this place look like it should. I back up to HOA 7 and their grass was f lush and green. Half way across the green belt, ours is brown. Looks jorrible

I am a past professional seedsman/ agronomist and I totally concur with those who cite lack of past weed control, fertilizer and grass management. What you see now is the accumulation of that neglect by Boards and Desert Management. There are now new reduced cost ways to reseed that are minimally invasive and allergy producing. I have long seen the growing invasion of quack-grass, purple nut sedge, and spurge which have literally become a large percentage of our yards. We have spent thousands on questionable cost saving "desert scape". Let's get to work on an actual property value enhancer at much less the cost!
