HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum embraces the concept of green buildings to ensure a healthy and environment-friendly city. At the same time we are experiencing the opposite in the “Greens”: Since December construction is under way to modify Al Dhafrah and Al Thayyal courtyards to fix the water leakage from the planter boxes. According to current plans 600m² of grass will be replaced by artificial turf and our large trees replaced by small plants in pots. Concrete will replace green ! There must be a better solution to stop the water leakage than to kill the little bit of green in our courtyard. We are asking for an immediate construction stop and a revised design to preserve our trees and our green. Preserve our courtyards in AlDhafrah and AlThayyal. Don´t replace the trees and the green by concrete and artifical turf.
