Ben Franklin said \"We must all stand together or we will all fall apart\" and that counts with everything including fireworks 4. Most people get fireworks anyway so there\'s no point in spending tax money to pay cops to check cars since they don\'t find half the fireworks anyway 5. People of the USA should be able to celebrate the day of independence Words of a wise man: Every year the state of NY not only loses out on taxes on fireworks sales, but spends $ to prosecute small offenders of the law that brought fireworks into NY state to celebrate the 4th of July. These people are not terrorists, they are patriots celebrating a national holiday, one that SHOULD be very important to the Northeast.(remember the 13 colonies?) Obviously there has to be some regulations if NY were to legalize fireworks. Mainly you would have to fill out a form with the merchant stating that you are 18 years of age or older, and this information goes on file to track who has fireworks. Fireworks should not be allowed to be sold in tents as they are not easily controlled environments.
