we got the news that graduation is officially moving to the evening. it honestly feels unreal that we actually pulled this off and made it happen for the graduates. thanks for sticking with this until we got the win.
Lowndes High Graduation is hot and uncomfortable for graduates and guest, especially during the middle of the day. We suggest having graduation at night. Not only would it be cooler, but it would make graduation more sentimental for graduates as it could be considered there last time under the Friday night lights.
I would love to have graduation in the evening, it is so miserable with the heat in the morning you can't even enjoy your child graduating. This year will be child number 4 graduating for me!

I feel like this would be very beneficial, it would give families from out of town ample time to get together to see the graduates, and it would be much cooler, so the administrators wouldn't have to worry about anyone not used to the South Georgia heat from "falling out".

As the parent of a senior, I believe this is a great idea. Let them throw those caps under the Concrete Palace lights!!

As a former LHS student, I have lived through the awful heat and sun of graduation. Having graduation at night is a fabulous idea!

Completely agree! It was miserable for my dad who was on oxegyn and had to leave once I was finally called because his health couldn't stand the heat!

As a senior citizen, I have had to leave the ceremony early because of the heat and overcrowding when only the home side is available for seating. Also we need handrails all the way to the top. Thank you.
