- We, the undersigned students, parents, and community members, respectfully request that this year’s graduation ceremony be held on the football field rather than indoors.
Due to the ongoing remodeling of the field, we understand that adjustments must be made. However, holding graduation on the field would allow for a more spacious, comfortable, and memorable experience for graduates and their families. Graduation is a once-in-a-lifetime milestone, and it deserves a setting that can safely accommodate all loved ones who wish to attend.
Hosting the ceremony outdoors on the field would:
- Provide more seating capacity for families and guests
- Create a more traditional and celebratory atmosphere
- Allow better comfort and visibility for attendees
- Ensure a special and meaningful send-off for the graduating class
We respectfully ask school administration to reconsider the current plan and explore options that would allow graduation to take place on the field despite the track renovations. With proper planning and safety considerations, we believe this can be accomplished successfully.
We appreciate your time, consideration, and commitment to making this graduation a memorable event for all students.

I want to see my son walking on the football field. We are going to have family from Mexico coming to see him walking and it is unbelievable they will not be able to see him.
Why not change the field during summer break?? Don’t take this tradition and memory away from these kids. Nothing felt better during graduation than walking across that field and running to goal post with my classmates. Those things matter, they’re important.
I would love to see Jamya Worthen walk across the field where it is more space for the family as well as her grandmother to sitting alone the side being she can’t walk up bleachers. So definitely stand for on the field!!!
Let them graduate on that field like the classes before them. Y’all had all year to fix this, that’s on y’all not the seniors. The fact that the school tries to do this every year and are completely ignore the feelings of the graduating class is selfish and disgusting.
It’s not fair for us large families that are active in these kids lives to not be able to attend. Some of these babies have struggled and have needed family more then anything and now you wanna tell them they have to choose who can attend come on people that’s not right

Don’t take this moment away from the students and family! For many of these athletes that field has been home away from home and means the world for one last moment on it.
