The majority of properties in our Lorraine Lakes community have dead, dying, or diseased grass riddled with chinch bugs. Despite repeated resident complaints, the issue continues being ignored by Lennar and our HOA, negatively impacting our community.
As homeowners, we all pay HOA fees expecting our community to be properly maintained to standards that protect our property values and quality of life. The current state of yards has created an eyesore that is negatively affecting home sales and decreasing equity for owners. Further, the cost and burden of re-sodding falls to residents.
Beyond economic factors, it is simply unacceptable for our community green spaces and the curb appeal of our properties to look so poor. As an HOA, solutions must be enacted to address the source of the rampant grass disease issue. Research indicates the likely culprit is poor soil unfit for sustainable growth.
The time has come for our voices to be heard, and for real solutions through soil testing, drainage repair, new sod, or alternatives. This petition urges Lennar, the HOA, the CDD, and local representatives to come together to restore the beauty and value of our Lorraine Lakes community through addressing the grass crisis.

The board is watching these numbers climb and they are starting to feel the pressure. We need to push past the next milestone to ensure they cannot ignore the state of our yards any longer.

Seeing this kind of momentum confirms that I am not the only one exhausted by the state of our lawns. It is a long road ahead to get the management to actually look at the soil but your agreement gives me the energy to keep pushing for changes.

Reaching 100 signatures is a heavy milestone because it proves I am not the only one staring at dead lawns and feeling frustrated. This has been an exhausting uphill battle but knowing so many neighbors are seeing the same neglect gives me the grit to keep pushing.

Lots of damage to lawn (water issues and lawn mowers swiveling/turning on grass tearing it up). The grass is cut too low and it looks like the blades are not sharp. Also, I installed 14 palm trees and had to replace 6 that died. Now 2 more are dead.
Situation is unacceptable!! Irrigation is a complete failure! Repeated service tickets don’t fix anything! Can someone honestly come look at this situation and say “oh yea, looks great”. Why on earth would Lennar let the lawns be such an eyesore and an obvious failure. Do the right thing Lennar - fix this NOW
We are extremely unhappy with the look of our lawn. We moved to LL because we thought there would be little maintenance to do in our yard. We recently hired a professional company to maintain our yard because of the terrible appearance of our lawn, bugs, and the fungus that LL was not taking care of. We are extremely upset about the lack of care our yards are receiving.
Lawn received no sprinklers all summer. Put in numerous work orders. Lost front lawn. Had to replace out of my own pocket. Later after replacement hoa determined that the Solenoid that would have turned my sprinklers on was not working. So wouldn’t that be on hoa. Apparently not. Not happy.
I 100% agree with Alex. I recently attended a meeting at Amenity Center where Lennar and HOA will not take responsibility of the situation. We all pay HOA fees to insure the quality of our community. In the meantime, the equity and value of our community has been diminished.

After replacing flower beds and trees countless times, this is enough. Artistree causes more most of damage with their mowing and sloppy trimming. Nothing has worked correctly in the almost 3 years we are here. We just keep forking over the money, and for what???
