The residents are formally requesting that Legacy Development, install a playground in the original section of Phase One. This would benefit the neighborhood by limiting the overuse of the other playgronds in the other phases.
I have been walking through the Phase One green space every evening picturing exactly where the swings should go. Neighbors keep stopping me to tell me how much their kids need a safe place to play right here at home instead of crossing the busy roads to reach the other parks.

Seeing so many neighbors join this effort feels surreal because I remember when I was the only one worried about our kids walking so far to play. This momentum makes me believe we might actually get a safe space for our children right here in Phase One.

Great idea! We noticed the lack of a playground in Phase One right away when we first looked at our home here 3 years ago. Even though our kids are grown we do have a brood of grandchildren who would certainly use it when they visit. We have so many kids on this end of Legacy that it would be well used and appreciated.
And yes, let's get the kids out of the street! Thank you for considering this proposal.

The children have nowhere to play in this area of the subdivison; other than the streets, the creek, or the islands in the culdesac's. A play area would be a great improvement to this neighborhood for many years and would be highly used by all of the families (for both children and/or grandchildren). Other features mentioned would also be great: rubber base, rock/climbing wall, benches, shade tree, etc. Please "make it right"...

As a grandparent that occasionally comes to visit and/or watch the grandchildren, this would be a great benefit to all. A seating bench or two and some shade trees would also be nice. It is amazing that there are 3 or 4 other play areas already in place on the other side of the subdivision, yet nothing is near this area of Legacy for our children/grandchildren. A safe are for the kids to play at other than the islands in the street should be a priority for the safety of the kids and the developement of this subdivision.

Having an additional playground would be wonderful. Keeping little ones out of the street and safe is so important. We lived in a neighborhood where there wasn't a place to play and our neighbor's child, who was 3, road his big wheel right out in front of a car and was hit. He was lucky enough to survive. Wouldn't want that to be the story here. Would love to see it centrally located like in the lots across from the now existing lots across from the town homes. Not sure if that is a possibility, but would be the perfect place.

this is very much needed for all of the families in legacy. I would like to see a rubber type of base vs. bark or cement. A climbing rock wall would be a great addition (like at Settlers Park).

Please let us have a safe place for our children to play. We have already had the police visit us to say that neighbors are complaining because our children are playing in the street. This is a very dangerous situation because the children really have nowhere to play and it's unsafe for them to travel all the way to the nearest playgrounds. We have tried to play at the school but that is a long distance to go for small children and we have been asked to leave that property as well. In a day and age when children are inside playing video games more than they are playing outside we want to give them an option of a safe area to play!

Playground definitely needed in Phase 1. Thank you for any and all considerations.
