The rezoning proposal has been officially withdrawn and I am honestly still in shock that we achieved this. I never thought our concerns would actually halt the process but it is clear that this outcome belongs entirely to you. We should stay alert to ensure this stays decided but for …

We have a new school being built right behind our neighborhood and you want to bus our kids to Cary? This makes absolutely no sense! Please reconsider and/or explain the decision. I cannot imagine any logical explanation. You want the children in our community to go to school in a different city???

My grandson is being rezoned from a neighborhood school in Raleigh to a new school 8 miles down 540 in Cary--utterly ridiculous. Aside from destroying community involvement in our schools it is another example of wasteful spending of our tax dollars.

We are opposed to moving our children out of their current school and sending them significantly further away from our home. After 3 years at this school my son is committed to Leesville and doesn't w=ant to change at this time and leave his friends and teachers behind.

This rezoning is not making any sense, Time wasted for both kids and parents, energy wasted on commute further, create more air pollution, more traffic on the I-540 and surrounding. really not a good plan..please reconsider and make a better plan.

I live within (1.25 miles) from leesville schools ,about 10 min walk (at Tweeds mill rd) It make no sense to move my kids to another school about 15 - 20 min away when we can walk to our current leesville school Please reconsider

I recently purchased a home in Cornerstone Park solely to have my children attend Leesville elementary. I am outraged by the though of taking my children out of this school to be bused several miles further and into horrible traffic.

Cannot believe Wake County School Board is disassembling an academic model that works so well; people are moving into the community specifically for the Leesville Campus experience. Having a nearby school increases the parents involvement in the activities. With the reassignment a nice foundation of parents-teacher will be broke. On top of that the WCPSS employees forgot that their salaries com from taxes paid for the same persons that they refuse to hear. Shame on the project and shame on the WCPSS employees.

I disagree with the new changes for 2015-16. I would like for my child to stay at LES. My child goes to before and after school program because I have to be at work in the morning. I am also big on communication with his teachers I can go to school and have 1:1 conference because the school is close. If he moves to Cary I would not be able to do that or volunteer. I also have twins that go to daycare down the street from Leesville which is very convenient to us. If he moves to Cary it will be a huge financial burden on my family because I can't be late for work! We move to this area for a reason because of the school system! Please keep our kids at LES.
