We the undersigned Petition the Rector and DCC of Keynsham Parish Church to take no action in respect of concerns expressed about the bells of St John's Church which we consider to be a valued local tradition and need to be retained to reach the proposed extensions to the town.

Updates

July 25, 2014

The leadership at the church remains silent regarding the future of the bells. We need to force a public response so email your local council representative today and demand they address our concerns.

July 25, 2014

The momentum behind our call to protect the bells shows that this tradition belongs to the whole town. Post this link on your social media pages tonight and text three neighbors to ensure they know the bells are at risk.

DO NOT SILENCE THE BELLS. They have been there way longer than any of us. People need to get a grip.

Ridiculous that people move into a town with an old church and then complain about the bells. If you dont like the noise move somewhere else!

Those bells have been ringing forever. It is the sound of Keynsham and it would be a shame to lose that tradition just because of a few complaints.
