To the Commissioners and all involved in the review process for the Story Road development application, Again;
We, the undersigned residents of the Manor and surrounding communities, strongly urge you to deny the development application for Story Road for a third time. The reasons that led to its previous denial remain just as relevant today. This proposed development, with over 250 homes, poses significant challenges and does not align with the character, needs, or infrastructure of our area.
Our concerns include but are not limited to:
Incompatibility with the surrounding area: Current homes are situated on large lots of 2.5 to 5 acres, reflecting the rural nature of our community. The proposed density would fundamentally alter this character, creating an imbalance that our infrastructure and environment cannot sustain.
Exploited infrastructure: The current roads, utilities, and public services are, currently overloaded and not equipped to handle the significant increase in traffic and demand that this development would bring. Without major upgrades, this project risks compromising the quality of life for both current residents and new homeowners.
Preserving our rural way of life: While we understand and accept the inevitability of growth, it must be sustainable and considerate of the communities it impacts. This project, in its current form, threatens the very qualities that make our community unique.
We urge you to listen to the concerns of the residents who call this area home. Growth should enhance—not diminish—the lives of those it affects. Please work with us to protect the future of our rural way of life and explore more suitable alternatives for development that respect the character of our community.
For these reasons, we respectfully request that you deny this application once again.

The area floods now with heavy rains. There is an unmaintained drainage ditch that flows through the area which overflows and swamps this area now . Any development will only make this worse
Please keep the country living in the manor. We do not need overcrowding. There are not enough roads. Traffic is already bad.
Our community is already burdened by big development. Our infrastructure cannot handle the traffic on the roads, schools are overflowing with students, emergency services are maxed, and our conservation areas for wildlife are diminishing. Our community once pride itself on having a small town feel but that feeling has gone away. I know growth is inevitable however major issues that we have today need to be addressed before growth can be properly pursued in Osceola county.
The traffic is already a problem, as well as the threat to the wildlife in the area turkeys, deer, fox squirrels, gopher tortoises.
I respectfully submit to stop the story road project .Is not conducive to the local agriculture zoning. We are rural please respectfully
Keep us safe no more houses out in the manor .
