This petition is to encourage Wylie city council to vote against the zoning change for Monroe Lake off of country club. Wylie doesn't need and can't sustain townhomes. Keep Wylie Country, y'all.

Seeing this much support for our home shows that people are finally paying attention to what we stand to lose. It is exhausting work to fight the city on this but the energy you have all brought keeps me going.

The reason I moved out here was country. I work in Dallas was raised in Garland I keep having to move further and further out to get nice homes and a country setting. I will just have to sell my $700,000 home and hit the road and start moving to Farmersville take my business there a Rockwall in Royse city.

We need to keep some of Wylie's rural area just that. Unless someone is willing to add additional roads, etc., this will create a mess. If the owner is bent on selling, maybe someone could buy it and open a park or wildlife center. No houses, no apartments and no more traffic.

Lived here for 26 years and I moved here to be in the country. Its slowly slipping away. Totally against zoning change. Please stop developing. W e have enough buildings with all the business that have went out of business. Use what you have stop destroying our town.

AGAINST RE-ZONING! Lots of "should be, maybe, possibly " from the developer. Drainage issues, sewer issues, fencing, lease lengths, lease enforcement NOT addressed.

Their “walking trail” butts right up to our back property line leaving 15+ acres to relocate to another area on same land. Drainage issues not addressed for those who live down hill from development, traffic issues, scenery trashed with apartments, etc.

The schoold district is already over crowded with several of them having portable buildings. There is no where to build new schools so we need to stop allowing multifamily rezoning. We need more commercial to generate revenue.

I got CANNED today! Before I left work, I told my boss: here's a little something I owe you! Then I punched him in the face and he went flying into the wall!
