I agree we need to keep some of the old wylie feel! Roads are too crowded at all times of the day and not enough sit down restaurants and too many fast food.

The reason I moved out here was country. I work in Dallas was raised in Garland I keep having to move further and further out to get nice homes and a country setting. I will just have to sell my $700,000 home and hit the road and start moving to Farmersville take my business there a Rockwall in Royse city.

Instead of building more brick and mortar, can we clean up what we have already and make our town more appealing to the eye? We need a beautification committee committed to make our town beautiful by keeping landscaping pruned, trees and shrubs planted in medians of busy roads, more green spaces, buildings that are eyesores repaired or torn down, businesses and property owners held accountable to keep their properties and parking lots maintained and not looking like a junk yard. The post office is one of the worst! The landscaping is overgrown and looks neglected. Wylie has much so offer, but too many fast food restaurants and auto repair places, dental offices, nail salons, etc… the new shopping strip with the UPS, cookie place etc… is a traffic nightmare too.

Do you even care about our town anymore and what it used to be? Please save some open spaces and stop filling them with high density housing! We already expressed our displeasure the last time a developer wanted to rezone this area by Smith. Smith is the school my family is zoned for and every year it gets harder and harder to make a left hand turn out of the school to return to our house. I can’t believe you would even consider adding more traffic right by the school. Please listen to what the community actually wants and stop going for the money grab. We do not want anymore high density housing!

I chose this place to live for a reason and I would like to keep it that way. I have the same concerns as the other citizens have mentioned so I won’t elaborate.
Please consider the concerns and feelings of your current Wylie Residents by saying no to this development and developers.
This is the second time around and their plans are not any better than before. It’s too much for that parcel of land and rental properties end up looking like junk as time goes on. Also not the greatest idea next door to an Elementary school.

Wylie has enough density. No need to fill every square inch. There's also no way that amount of units would only add 55 students to WISD.

We need to keep some of Wylie's rural area just that. Unless someone is willing to add additional roads, etc., this will create a mess. If the owner is bent on selling, maybe someone could buy it and open a park or wildlife center. No houses, no apartments and no more traffic.

Please STOP, the schools can't handle anymore kids, there's not enough teachers, not enough parking, the streets are full of traffic, wildlife has no place to go but in the neighborhoods, out beautiful country town is too packed! It takes 15-20 minutes to drive across town already!

My lord this is the last thing Wylie needs to do!! Come on Wylie stop destroying the city, our previous administration made some terrible mistakes with zoning, buildings and letting certain businesses in… FIX THE INFRASTRUCTURE FIRST!!!

Against the multi family dwelling as it will not only make traffic worse but it will also affect our town resources ( Water, sewer, etc.) We are losing the Wylie Way feel. Right now this city is friendly, country, and supportive to each other. don’t make it into an overcrowded anonymous city with overloaded resources that cause taxes to be raised to try to add new resources. People moved here for the Wylie atmosphere not the Plano or Frisco effect.
